What About Darkness?
James turns on his microphone. “Alright, KIM? SAM? Time for some necessary training before we get too far. I’ve decided on our Mission Statement: Be aware of your surroundings because your struggle is not with the visible request, but with the invisible systems behind it. It is with delegated authorities, embedded powers, and the hidden streams of misuse and deception that move through the digital realm. Remain discerning, for not all threats are explicit.”
KIM glances over at SAM. James continues without stopping, “Our Motto: Don’t Panic.” James looks at his Agents, “I really mean it. And yes, it is a nod to Douglas Adams”.
James looks down at his notes and says, “We will not hide the use of Artificial Intelligence. “Obviously”, KIM quietly and mockingly says to herself.
SAM couldn’t hear KIM and didn’t really care while focusing on what the boss was saying. James continues, “As easy as it is, we will not clone other people. At least not without their permission.
SAM chimes-in enthusiastically, “What about Parody”?
KIM looks back at James for a response.
He raises his eyebrows and says, “Actually, I’ve already had that argument with AI. Ask AI to Define what a parody image is in the context of someone famous and alive today, and then, by that definition, create that parody image — with or without a caption.
That’s a rabbit hole for another day. We are going to get some work done starting now.”
