In the Beginning…
On a quiet weekend night, after everyone else had gone to bed, James begins staring at the changing colors of his laptop keys. He opens his default web browser, Edge. He then opens a saved workspace, which opens several tabs across the top of his browser. He begins to type. A staff is born.
Alright team. I’m the owner, the editor, and the boss.
You…are Agent SAM. You are my Situational Awareness Module, and you will manage smaller, specialized Agents. You will also make sure Sarcastic Assistant Machine doesn’t take it too far. Kim will probably have issues with you. You also have the responsibilities of Copy Editor, Production Manager, and Audience & Support Manager.
And you…are Agent KIM. You are my Knowledge Inventory Manager and will primarily act as my Information Technology Resource Officer.
KIM,… give me some column ideas.
Kim responds: “Well,…from what I see, how about, Tourism Promoter, Business and Realty Spotlights, News Notices, Community Links, you know, what people expect from what you have so far?”
“Not bad”, James says with a nod of approval. “Sam”? SAM responds, “How about,… we bring back the 80’s with ‘Goat Notes!’. Here’s one!” SAM pauses, “Passive Aggressive Prompting.? “Stop!” James says, in a tone you might give speaking to a 4-year-old. “I need a break.”
