Boat-in Campsites on Lake Chelan
There are 15 Boat-in Campsites on Lake
Chelan. Lake Chelan boat-in campsites are managed by both the USDA
Forest Service and the National Park Service. A Federal Dock Site
Permit is required to use the docks at all up-lake sites. This
includes day use. Boats not displaying a valid Federal Dock Site Permit are
subject to a $50.00 fine. Federal Dock Site Permits must be displayed
from May 1 to October 31. These permits may be obtained at the USDA Forest
Service Ranger Station in Chelan, McGregor Outdoor Supply and the Stehekin
Lodge in Stehekin, and at boat launches at 25 Mile State Park, Lake Chelan
State Park and Old Bay Boat Launch in Manson. Day permits are
available for $5.00 and a season permit is available for $40.00.
Funds collected from the sale of the Federal Dock Site Permit are used to
maintain docks and campgrounds on Lake Chelan. Permits are available at
the Chelan Ranger Station.
